You Can't Shave in a Minimart Bathroom

The bottom line is this...
Doors are meant to be opened,
...not hidden behind.
Coming out of the closet...
Most of us knows what that means. Someone is coming out as gay, lesbian, bisexual or, as in my case, transgendered.
Perhaps it is easier to accept a classmate, workmate or friend if you are gay, lesbian or bisexual because your appearance doesn't change.
It's a whole different ballgame if someone is coming out as transgendered. Your interactions with others change. Appearances change. Relationships change. Even your own behavior and expectations change.
Changes this dramatic can frighten a lot of people. People start to MSU - make stuff up - because they do not know what to think.
I am a transgendered public high school science teacher. I transitioned on the job and remain a science teacher.
Let me tell you a little about my journey. Hopefully, hearing about my journey will help you understand someone who is on their own journey.
